Emily NicholsEmily is an Extension Specialist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System at Auburn University, where she provides statewide leadership to 4-H youth natural resources and environmental education programming. Through the coordination and implementation of forestry, wildlife, fisheries, and outdoor recreation programs, she has contributed to outreach efforts that aim to educate citizens of Alabama while promoting responsible use of resources through hands-on experiential learning.

She holds a B.S. in Environmental Science, M.S. in Environmental Management, and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Wildlife Sciences with the Auburn University School of Forestry & Wildlife Sciences. Prior to joining Alabama Extension in 2014, Emily gained valuable experience in her role as Research Associate for the Alabama Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit at Auburn University, as well as serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in The Gambia, West Africa.

Emily enjoys sharing her passion for natural resource management, conservation, and outreach with 4-H youth.
