Dave Apsley
Dave Apsley serves as the Natural Resources Specialist at Ohio State University Extension. Dave focuses most of his energy on educational and applied research efforts aimed at improving forest management on private lands. He is an active member of the Ohio Woodland Stewards Program team and coordinates the Ohio Coverts project.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Forest Management (1985) from Purdue University and a master's degree in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia (1987). He has 18 years of professional experience in forestry and natural resources education, management and research. Prior to joining Ohio State University Extension in December of 2000, he taught for six years in the Forest Management Technology atHocking College. Other positions that he has held include Forester and Supervisory Forester for the Department of Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky; and Research Technician and Research Coordinator in the School of Forest Resources at the University of Georgia.
Dave is member of the Society of American Foresters and is a Certified Forester. He lives on a Certified Tree Farm in Jackson County, Ohio.
