Invitational Coach 8

Navigation

It is obvious that the National 4-H Forestry Invitational has made a major impact to the youth and adults who have participated in this event. I have been very fortunate in coaching 11 different teams in this exceptional 4-H educational activity. Each year of participating, my teams have made life-long memories as well as improved self-esteem, more confidence in their abilities as well as provided a solid foundation in helping them learn how to be wise stewards of their natural resources in the future. Even though few have actually gotten into a natural resource field, the National 4-H Forestry Invitational has helped them secure scholarships, be able to get into the college of their choice, enabled them to receive much deserved recognition, served as a major "spark" in enabling them to secure a successful job, and has been a special encouragement to them in becoming successful in their futures.
