Yong-Lak Park
Dr. Park, an Assistant Professor at West Virginia University, is responsible for the Forest Health-Insects part of the National 4-H Forestry Invitational.
Currently, Dr. Park Is an assistant professor of the entomology program at the Division of Plant and Soil Science, West Virginia University. His research focuses on insect ecology and pest management using advanced technology such as biosensors, unmanned aerial vehicles, and satellites.
Prior to joining WVU, Dr. Park earned his Bachelor's (1993) and Master's (1997) degrees at Seoul National University in South Korea and received a Doctorate from Iowa State University (2003). After, he became a post-doctoral research associate at the University of California, Riverside. Currently, he teaches Principles of Entomology, Forest Pest Management, and Urban Tree and Shrub Health at West Virginia University.
