dmartinDanielle Martin is a Forest Pathologist for the USDA Forest Service in Morgantown, WV.  She is working on lab and field diagnostics for a variety of urban and woodland tree diseases.  She recently moved to West Virginia from Corvallis, Oregon where she was working on a grape powdery mildew detection project for the USDA Agriculture Research Service.  She has a Master of Science degree in Plant Pathology from Oregon State University (OSU).  For her masters project she developed methods to determine the variation in resistance of Port-Orford-cedar to Seiridium canker and Stigmina foliar blight.  At OSU she was a teacher’s assistance for Everett Hansen’s “Forest Insect and Disease Management” class.  Danielle also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resources from the University of Minnesota.  She has worked for the Forest Service on a variety of projects, including a post fire tree mortality study that covered the 5 state region of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Utah.
