Amy Fannon-OsborneAmy Fannon is an Associate Extension Agent focusing on Agriculture and Natural Resources/ Mined Land Reclamation in Virginia.  Amy is stationed in Wise County, Virginia and works with the Powell River Project Education and Research Center.  Much of her time is working with agriculture producers on reclaimed mined land and educational outreach programs through the Powell River Project.

Amy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Crop and Soil-Environmental Science with minors in Forestry and Environmental Science in December 2008. Currently, she is finishing up her Master’s Degree in Crop and Soil-Environmental Science with her thesis focusing on agroforestry.

Amy has been involved in 4-H since she was 9 with her first project showing a heifer in local shows.  Amy participated in several other events including Virginia’s Forestry Judging Contest and in 2004 she was a competitor at the National 4-H Forestry Invitational.
